Booking Fees and Cancellation Policy
Rates, Booking Fees, and Cancellation Policy: Tamaracks Resort's rates are subject to change and do not include tax. Due to limited capacity, a 25% non-refundable booking fee on a major credit card is required to confirm reservations, with full payment due 45 days before arrival. For cancellations, guests can reschedule once to a date within one year of the original arrival date without incurring fees, provided they notify us of the need to cancel at least 30 days prior to arrival. Otherwise, the full payment is forfeited. If you choose to reschedule your reservation, arrangements must be made at least 2 weeks prior to your arrival date. In some instances, travelers may want to consider vacation insurance to protect against loss of deposits and/or payments due to unexpected travel interruption.

Minimum Stay

We kindly ask that you please note that during the high season and certain holidays, we have a three-night minimum stay requirement. However, if we have a one or two-night vacancy available, we may be able to accommodate your request. Please feel free to contact our office at 406-677-2433 if you are looking for a shorter stay. Thank you for your understanding.
Check-In and Check-Out Times

During the high season, our guaranteed check-in time is at 5:00 PM on the day of your arrival, while during the low season, we offer a little more flexibility with a guaranteed check-in at 3:00 PM. Please note that check-out time is strictly at 11:00 AM on the day of your departure. We may have more flexibility during our low season. Late check-outs may incur additional charges. While we understand that early arrivals may be necessary, we cannot guarantee early check-in due to the current worker shortage. We apologize for any inconvenience, but we want to ensure the highest quality and cleanliness of your accommodations. Thank you for your understanding.

Accommodations Tax
All cabin, camping, and over-occupancy rates are subject to a 8% Montana State Accommodation Tax.

Motor Vehicle Tax
Some rentals on the property (with motors) are subject to a 4% motor vehicle tax. I.E., ski boats, jet skis, boats with trolling motors, golf carts, snowmobiles, etc.

Over-Occupancy and Day Use Fees
Over-occupancy must be approved by management. Maximum occupancy and maximum vehicles apply for all cabins and RV sites (see individual cabin/campsite page for details). Fees are daily $20 per person and $50 per vehicle

Pets
​Bring your furry friends along for the adventure with our pet-friendly policy! Our management team will need to approve your pets, but once you're approved, it's time to have fun. If you and your pet(s) are staying in one of our cozy cabins, we require a $200 refundable pet damage deposit and a non-refundable pet cleaning fee of $20 per pet, per night. For those staying at an RV site, we have a $50 refundable damage deposit and a $10 per pet, per night pet fee. You must register all pets at check-in (even if it's not an overnight stay - you pay to accommodate all pets). Note that we have a limit of 2 pets per cabin or campsite - this is non-negotiable. For your pet's safety, we do not allow them to be left unattended in a cabin (even in a crate) or at a campsite (even on a leash or cable). ​The Wilderness Experience

Welcome to Tamaracks Resort, located in the heart of the Lolo National Forest and bordering the Bob Marshall Wilderness! Our cabins are 100 years old and have passed health inspections with flying colors. Come stay with us and experience the adventure of being in the wilderness, where you may encounter wildlife such as mosquitoes, skunks, porcupines, bears, bats, mice, and squirrels.
