It's Time to Knock Montana Off Your Bucket List
Tamaracks Resort is the place and Seeley Lake is where you find it
Mountain Lakes ~ Starry Nights
a place where time stands still & the view never changes
nor the feeling of being under the towering Tamaracks
Some would say that there is magic under the branches of the mighty Tamarack trees. The cabins on the property are over one hundred years old, the trees many more.
Here's what people have to say about it
For over 100 years
Guests have been coming to Tamaracks Resort to experience Montana.
That being said, we are not a perfect fit for all travelers.
Those who will get the most out of this experience are:
Outdoor Enthusiasts: The Tamaracks Resort lies on over 30 acres of lakefront property and also backs right up to the Bob Marshall Wilderness. Located in the heart of the Lolo National Forest, there is absolutely no "real" civilization around for at least 60 miles in any one direction. Although we try to capture the essence of Montana in our photography and 360 tours, it is no match for the breath taking views you will experience; words cannot prepare you for the awesome sight of the Rocky Mountains. All four seasons can be enjoyed in this beautiful mountain valley. Hikes to waterfalls, floats down rivers, biking trails, hunting opportunities, winter sports fishing in every season and SO much more are within minutes of your front door. Prepare to be WOW'd with everything that the Seeley~Swan Valley has to offer.
Self Reliant Travelers: Our staff is wonderful and they are here to enhance your Montana experience. They will help you with directions and recommendations while sharing their love for Montana with you. Our intention is for you to have your own lake cabin in the woods. The cabins are stocked with everything you need for a day, week or extended stay. The kitchens are equipped so that you can do all your own cooking and there is a well supplied grocery store in town which offers fresh vegi's (some even organic ;) great cuts for meat as well as all frozen and shelf items. If you are looking for something special one night, you can attend one of our dinner boat cruises in the summer or long table dinners in the winter, as well as any of the other fantastic local restaurants in and around town. We provide a well informed guest book in each cabin as well as a front desk copy for campers; this book includes menus from local restaurants, directions to favorite trail-heads, places to shop and opportunities to attend events. With property wide high speed WiFi, you have access at the tips of your fingers to find out about everything the valley has to offer, and post all your great photos!!
Animal Lovers: We love ALL the animals, foreign and domestic. Not only is your whole family welcome here, but your fur baby will be personally welcomed with pet treats, towels and bed covers. He/she will also have their own beach where they can swim and run and fetch!! Guests who stay here should also understand that they are staying in the wilderness and that they run the risk of encountering the "other" animals; mosquitoes, skunks, porcupines, bears, bats, mice, squirrels etc; and it is always possible that these animals may find their way into vehicles, tents, RV'S and cabins. Please remember that this is their home, and we have the privilege of being a guest. Since Tamaracks Resort is child and pet friendly, we NEVER use poison or snap traps. Instead, we have sticky traps, sonic plug ins and peppermint spray. We ask guests to lock their cabins & vehicles, lock up their trash in bear proof dumpsters and keep all doors closed. As you scroll through our website, you may see some impressive photos of wildlife even right here on the property, these photos are not baited or staged. You may just get lucky enough to see them during your stay.
